ORESTES GONZALEZ spent many years photographing scenic locales and "locals" during his worldwide travels. More recently, he his focus has turned to quieter and more intimate portraits - usually closer to home in Long Island City, NY. He describes his method of capturing artists in their studios - not just their faces, but something deeper.
