Welcome to the Miami-Dade Fruit and Spice Park! Located in the Redland area of southern Dade county, Florida, the park showcases more than 150 varieties of mango, 75 varieties of bananas, 70 bamboo varieties, and numerous other exotic edibles. This mobile tour guide is designed to allow visitors a multi-media exploration of the collection. Look for QR codes scattered around the park - attached to permanent features or hanging from trees. Snap the code with a QR code scanner in your smart phone and you'll be given a chance to learn more about that tree, themed garden or other park feature. Sometimes you will hear an audio commentary or see a video like this ; other times you'll find a link to the park's botanical database - or a recipe.   The Jackfruit image (below) is linked to a Wikipedia article.
